New PR!
Sep 8, 2008Had a PR today at Ironman Wisconsin. Went 9:46:01. 32 seconds faster then IMAZ last spring. What’s impressive is that Wisconsin has a much tougher course IMO. 52/5:26/3:19 + 7 minutes or so for Transition. I finished 30th overall and 5th in my age group. The preliminary slot breakdown is only 4 slots, but it could …

Aug 25, 2008Well it’s been 5 years that I’ve been involved in this crazy sport. Back when I started I never would have imagined I would be where I’m at. Jul 16, 2008I’ve learned a lot of things thus far in life. I can only imagine the knoweldge I’ll have gained over the next 20+ years of life – some of the high points: Slow and Steady does win the race – when you consider a race to be a goal or objective over several years It’s easier to do the work and let "it" come to …

Jul 2, 2008One of my biggest downfalls when it comes to triathlon (and before that swimming) is the expectations I place on myself. If I look back across all of my athletic career my best performances happened when I expected nothing, and usually when I least expected. Of course I have had many great performances when I expected …
